The Small Beguinage, Our Lady of Hoyen, is the best preserved beguinage before the French Revolution. It dates from 1235, founded by the Countess of Flanders, after the Old Beguinage Sint-Elisabeth. UNESCO also recognised the Small Beguinage as a world heritage site.
Our B&B is located on the first floor of the building and is therefore less accessible for people with mobility problems. There is no lift in the building.
You are not allowed to smoke in our B&B.
No pets allowed.
Cooking and/or take away can not be allowed in the B&B. Of course, heating up something or boiling or frying an egg is permitted.
Bachelor parties or other type of parties are not allowed.
Direct booking is easy, quick and less expensive. Only the room doors have a key.
The entrance door and the corridor door can be opened with an access code. Our corridor is shared with the company "De Handlangers", who are located on the ground floor.
Often people ask us to check in early. We do our best to let guests check out in a quiet way.
The rooms are then cleaned and put back in order for the next guests. This takes time and we want to do this as carefully as possible and ask for your understanding.
The same applies to parking. Parking spaces can only be taken once the remaining guests have been given time to check out.
Check-in is possible from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Earlier check-in is possible, at the earliest from 1 p.m., if booked in advance.
Later check-out is possible, subject to a 15 euro surcharge, maximum until 1pm and agreed in advance.
You will then receive the codes and a detailed explanation on how to check in smoothly by yourself.
Check-out
The room should be available at 11 a.m. at the latest. If you have used the private parking, you have to hand in the remote control when you leave. ( 2 euro/h)
Dropping off luggage before check-in time ? That's possible, but please inform us in advance.
